The filing calendar

What is due, and when

The dates every Zambian business is working to. Miss one and the penalty is automatic, which is the entire reason this practice exists.

Tax Who files it Due
PAYE Monthly Anyone with employees 10th of the following month
Turnover tax Monthly Businesses under the turnover threshold 14th of the following month
VAT Monthly VAT-registered businesses 18th of the following month
Provisional tax Quarterly Companies and sole traders 10 April, 10 July, 10 October, 10 January
Annual return & accounts Annual Every registered business 21 June, for the year before

Correct as at August 2026. Dates move with the national budget, so we check them each January — if yours are handled by us, you do not need to.

What we do

The whole compliance burden, handled

Most of our clients came to us because something was already overdue. That is a normal way to start.

Statutory accounts

Annual financial statements prepared to IFRS for SMEs, signed off and filed with PACRA before the deadline rather than after it.

ZRA returns & tax

VAT, PAYE, turnover tax and income tax. Filed on time, every time, with the working papers kept in case anyone asks.

Payroll

Monthly payslips, NAPSA and NHIMA submissions, and a clean audit trail. From two employees to two hundred.

Bookkeeping

We take the shoebox, the bank statements or the spreadsheet and turn them into books you can actually make decisions from.

Company secretarial

PACRA annual returns, director changes, share transfers and registered office. The paperwork nobody remembers until it is late.

Audit support

If your bank, your donor or your board wants audited figures, we prepare everything the auditor will ask for.

Behind on filing?

It is fixable, and you are not the first

We work out exactly what is outstanding, deal with ZRA and PACRA on the penalties, and get you current. No lectures, and a fixed fee before we start.

How it works

Three steps, no meeting required

  1. Tell us what you have

A message is enough. What the business does, how many staff, and how far behind you are — we have heard worse.

  2. We quote a fixed fee

In writing, before any work starts. No hourly billing and no invoice that arrives bigger than expected.

  3. We take it from there

Deadlines tracked, returns filed, and a message from us before ZRA sends you one.

Three years of returns outstanding and I had stopped opening the letters. They sorted the lot in six weeks and told me the price on day one.

Questions

What people ask before calling

We are behind on our returns. Is that a problem?

It is the single most common reason people call us, and it is fixable. We work out what is outstanding, deal with ZRA and PACRA on the penalties, and get you current. Nobody here is going to lecture you about it.

Do you actually publish your fees?

Yes, and we know that is unusual for the profession. Most firms want a meeting before they will name a number. We would rather you knew roughly what this costs before you pick up the phone.

Is the quoted fee the final fee?

The quote is fixed before work begins. If the job turns out to be materially different from what was described — three years of missing records rather than one — we tell you the revised figure and wait for you to agree before continuing.

Do we have to come to your office?

Not unless you want to. Most of our clients send documents by WhatsApp or email and we never meet them in person. If you would prefer to sit down with someone, our office is in Longacres.

Are you registered?

Yes. We are a ZICA-registered practice and our accountants are members in good standing. Ask and we will send you the registration number before you commit to anything.

Can you work with our existing bookkeeper?

Often the best arrangement. They keep the day-to-day books, we handle the statutory work, tax and deadlines. We will agree who does what in writing so nothing falls between us.

Ask us anything first

You do not need your paperwork in order to send a message. Tell us the situation and we will tell you what it takes to fix it.
